Completed Unit 3

I have just completed unit 3. In this unit I found it a bit difficult cause when I was trying to download Format Factory it kept freezing and took me longer to complete the unit. I eventually made a short movie clip and uploaded it to youtube. Even though I found this unit hard I enjoyed the challenged.

I am about to start unit 3. In this unit I will learn all about using a digital camera. I’ve used a digital camera on my phone. The videos store in my photo album on my phone. I don’t transfer my videos to a computer I just upload them to facebook from my phone. I hope to learn how to use a digital camera and its features. I am also looking forward to making my own first short movie and editing it.

I have just completed unit 4. I learned what a podcast was and I put downloaded some onto my iTunes account. I then made my own podcast in a group of 3. After that I created music on Soundation. I found this hard because it was all new to me. My next steps are to continue with the course.

In this unit I will learn all about digital audio podcasts. I know a bit about podcasts and ipods. I hope to learn hot to create or alter sounds. I also hopte to learn how to transfer digital audio to a computer and use a computer programe to work with audio.

In Unit 5 I learned the safe uses of an ipod and how the volume can rejuce hearing. I downloaded iTunes and impotred a CD to create my first playlist. I converted music files from YouTube onto iTunes and made another playlist. I downloaded Audacity and created a recorded mix of two songs of my choice. The are I found most difficult was mixing the two songs as Audacity was new to me. My next steps are to continue with the course.

I am about to start Unit 5. In this unit I hope to learn about safe use of iPods, dangers about hearing loss and loud music, how to download iTunes onto the computer, create a playlist and import it onto a disk, convert YouTube songs to MP3 files and record a mix of 2 songs. I’m looking forward to starting this unit because I’m interested in song mixing. :)

I have just finished unit 6. I have learned what Viruses and Malware was. I have never heard of malware and im now aware how it can affect my computer and people in my address book. I know of the different Virus Protection Programmes and why I should use them. I also learned what Security Scams was and what I should do to protect myself from it. At the end of this unit I made up an Drop Box account and saved images into it.

I am about to start unit 6. In this unit I will about computer viruses and different types of computer protection programmes. I will also learn about backing up data and about copywriting, and what internet etiquette is. I hope to learn all about copywriting and backing up data because I am not really sure about that.

I've just completed unit 2. During this unit I went out in the Liberties and took 5 photos that said something about the area. I then went around the Liberties Centre and took 5 photos demonstrating health & safety equipment. When I tried to use Gimp it would not work for me so I had to skip that exercise. I created funny effects to my photos using Photofunia and then made a page from a comic using Comic Life. My last exercise was to create a photo slideshow with some titles and music, I chose to do my slideshow about Chris Brown, it was a success :) I enjoyed unit 2 I learned new ways to change photos in funny ways :)
